Help take a starving screenwriter to Hollywood!!!

Hello Everyone,

I come to you today pleading most shamelessly for your help.

Myself and my old mate Dez Grey have entered a competition to win the chance to make a short film costing £20,000 and then be flown to Hollywood to show it to industry people.

We've made a video pitch of our idea called 'A Ragged Ear', which can now be seen at the competition's website www.enterthepitch.com

The way the competition works is that voters need to register on the site (free), then watch four of the pitches (3 mins each), which allows them to then vote.

It's a bit of a faff, but I'd be very grateful if you'd be willing to help us raise the profile of our idea so that we might have a chance to make the film and head out to the States.

If you've any questions then please message me and I'll do my best to answer them.

Oh yes, if you wonder why all the pitches are banging on about parables and verses from the bible, this is because the competition is for Christian filmmakers - no, wait, don't go! It's not so bad.... our one is actually really cool, possibly disturbing, and is relevant to (hopefully) everyone.

So please, please, please head to www.enterthepitch.com and vote for 'A Ragged Ear'...... I'll be your best friend. I promise!

Watched a fair number (> 12) of the pitches on enterthepitch.com, and can say, with integrity, that "A Ragged Ear" was the best of the lot. There were some funnier ones, some more straight-ahead Christian, some more whimsical; but for my taste (admittedly more secular than sacred when it comes to film) yours is the one I want to see.
Passing the word to others, and hoping for your success!

Thanks for the encouragement Scott!

Very pleased to hear that you like the idea.

We know it's a little unusual for this sort of competition but we hope that fact that it will cause conversations and divide opinion will be a good thing.

Thanks again!

Yours is by far the best one of the bunch. It took me a while to find another one that I felt deserved my second vote. Good luck and I hope you win! I really want to see your film now. :)

Wow! Thanks Natalie!

Really glad you like the idea of the film.

We really hope we win so we can make the film to a professional standard.

Thanks for your vote, and for taking the time.

Cheers

Martyn

It is done! Best of luck to you, as well. I enjoyed the pitch, and I'd love to see the finished product.
